Time to Shot By World Cup Passing Cluster
Time to Shot is a simple concept explained here at DeepXG's blog (Thom Lawrence). So I decided to post all the clusters I am using here with the time to shot after each pass. So as you can see the lowest is 217 seconds away on basically a box entry pass while the longest is 335 seconds on a long punt from the goalie. The World Cup was a tournament for right-sided attacking as we saw in the last blog about Germany and Colombia and the numbers aren't symmetrical, right side seems more effective.

and a hint of what I'm looking at next

why do teams play so many of those passes in the bottom right? they have lowest TTS and lowest completion%? the obvious answer is they are defensive, so I'll look at that next. These are those 4 pass types as you all knew already probably
